Öreg-tó in Tata

The Öreg-tó in Tata is one of the oldest artificial lakes in Central Europe, featuring a water castle dating back to the era of King Sigismund. In autumn and winter, tens of thousands of wild geese roost on the water — the Vadlúd Sokadalom in November is the country's largest birdwatching event. The promenade around the lake is also accessible by bicycle.
