Nine-Arch Bridge of Hortobágy

The symbol of Hortobágy, the 92-meter-long Nine-Arch Bridge has been spanning the river since 1833 — it is the longest stone road bridge in the country. It is surrounded by the World Heritage-listed Puszta, home to Hungarian Grey cattle herds, traditional horse shows, and the famous mirage. In October, the bridge comes alive as the horse herds are driven across it during the traditional bridge fair.
